Best Anticounterfeiting Website? No To Fakes . Com

There are many good websites out there in the world talking about IP protection and particularly about anticounterfeiting.  One of my favorites is No To Fakes, http://www.notofakes.com.  The site is operated by Bilcare Technologies Singapore Pte, Ltd., an anticounterfeiting and brand security company.  There is a great interview on the home page now with two professors from the Villanova School Of Business about a survey they did of consumer attitudes about the purchasing of counterfeit products in Brazil, Russia, India, China (BRIC) and the USA.  The results are not good.  Half the consumers in China, for example, are happy to buy counterfeit goods – including drugs!  In Brazil, the figure is 33%.  Of course it depends on the product.  If you are in the movie industry the news is particularly bad, as consumers across these countries really don’t see much of a problem with stealing your products.
